Since its release the international Netflix phenomenon, Money Heist (La Casa De Papel) came with its fourth edition in the early months of this year, 2020. Just after the end of the first edition with a gun being pointed at the professor. Netflix has announce the release date of the much awaited Money Heist season 5 and what to expect. Sadly season 5 will be the end of this Series.
Money Heist has smashed most records holding the current record of being the most-watched non-English title on Netflix. The season 4 racked up incredibly 65 million views. It was also one of the most watched series in most countries.
It happened to take an eternity but Netflix acknowledged the season 5 of Money Heist would be coming and so fans are to expect it. But that season means the whole series is coming to an end. There would be no season 6.
In a statement posted by Alexa Pina regarding the renewal of Money Heist episode he said.
“We’ve spent almost a year thinking about how to break up the band. How to put professor on the ropes. How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters. The result is the fifth part of La Casa de papel. The war reaches most extremes and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”
In July we were led to believe that shooting of season 5 had already began but an official confirmation is yet to be released. Alex Pina however confirmed he is still writing the fifth season.
What to expect in season 5 of money heist
Let’s quickly look at how the season 4 wrapped up. The heist is very much still on with Lisbon now joining the rest of the gang in the Bank Of Spain. The biggest challenge facing the gang is that The Professor is now the one who has been caught red handed, with a gun pointed at him.
Spoiler hints of the new edition.
Berlin is set to return with numerous posts from the author and Vancouver Media teasing his return. Of course, most of his appearances in Money Heist since part 2 have been flashbacks. This we suggest will continue into the final season.
